before I was able to airplay a video in safari to my Apple TV and just open another browser window and surf safari while simultaneously air playing a video on my TV. Now when I try to do this, it only sends the audio with no video to the Apple TV. The only way I can send a video stream is to set my phone or iPad to mirror mode, which defeats what I’m trying to do. Can anyone please tell me I’m doing something wrong and show me a fix?

Try doing a restart on your iOS devices and ATV. I’m currently on my iPad in this forum and have an embedded video in another tab airplaying so it definitely still works.

I had the same issue, just about 30 mins ago. In my case, only the first frame of the video was shown on the TV, and the audio was fine. Restart your iOS devices and ATV, and disconnect and reconnect to network. That did the trick for me.

I have the same issue on my iPhone and iPad. I have restarted my iPhone/iPad and Apple TV. I’m only getting sound via AirPlay when playing a YouTube video. Any solutions??

i think it has to do with how many tabs you have open at the same time and how much ram it’s occupying. i have only a single tab for macrumors and another from youtube and it works for me on 11.2b2 on 7+

Woah, I think I accidentally solved it. It’s something going on with my Adblock settings. I changed the settings and whitelisted now it works as before. Friggin weird.

Which Adblock do you use? I have deleted my Adblock, and I still have the same issue. I tried airplay on different apps. It is only YouTube there won’t send video but only delayed sound. Other apps works fine.

The premium version of Adblock. The one where the icon is a blue triangle in a white icon.
