Has anyone noticed that the airplay icon on the watch sometimes appears "illuminated"?

I cannot figure out why it is at times and why it is not at times "lit up".

During the development process of wOS2 I was assuming that once the public version was released, we would be able to Airplay media directly from our watches to an Airplay enabled speaker/Apple TV however this feature never surfaced. It's the only use of that button that I could think of.

Agreed. Thank you. I just can't figure out why sometimes the button appears 'active' by looking illuminated and why other times it does not.

My guess is that it lights up when it detects an AirPlay device on the network.
It shows me both Bluetooth audio devices my watch has ever connected to, regardless of whether they're switched on or in range right now.

When it's actually connected to one, the button background turns sky blue.

I have 3 Airplay Devices on my network as well as Apple TV's and it still lights up intermittently and even if I press it it just reads 'Airplay Apple Watch'. Maybe it's an unfinished feature?
