AirPlay picture "streaming" from Mac to AppleTV2?

I'm just thinking about how to "stream" some continuously re-rendered web pages (e.g. local weather, news summaries) to the AppleTV to replace the screen saver pictures.

Is there a "picture streaming" solution available for the Mac?
