Airplay Question

Hi All

I was going to get Apple TV but I don't have the Airplay icon on my iPad3.

Should this icon be there all the time,or does it only appear when I connect an Airplay device to my Wi-Fi,such as the Apple TV.

OS is latest 7.1

Any help appreciated.

It only appears when you have airplay device connected. AppleTV works great with iPad 3, I have an Air now, but before that I had a 3, and used it with my AppleTV all the time.

You only see the airplay thing when you have wifi on and your near a apple tv
