I started playing with it a bit and can't, for the life of me, get it to play anything I'd want to listen to a second time...

That's the point, to encourage you to buy it.
Try clearing history perhaps.

My radio station keeps repeating the same tracks! lol.
Otherwise, tune your station to hits, rather than discovery.

Sorry, my grammar was ambiguous...

It's not that iTunes won't play it a second time, it's that I don't care to ever hear it a second time. Mine also keeps repeating the same, lousy, tracks...

Malware

I decided to give the software a try.
The first thing it did was ask for access to my contacts.
Next thing I did was delete the software.

I have never had a worse experience with a mac software!
I bought the app (on macrumors comments - my mistake). The only time it was OK, the 10 second in demo mode! It barely functions as promised. Regularly I have to restart the app, and itunes or bothand it records one song and then freezes (shows recording but nothing happens).
I am using Mac OSX 10.9.2 and iTunes 11.1.5. There is absolutely nowhere to ask for help on the manufacturers website. Two days on and I think about deleting this.

Finally it seems I found the problem.

When I use Internet sharing on my mac, Air Play Recorder behaves erratically.
I have now a choice to make, either Internet Sharing or Recording. It is a handicap and someone better do something about it!
Still the fact that you get to dead end for support from their website is annoying.

Thanks!!
:)
