Has anyone found a solution to this? I just got the ATV for Christmas. I'm running ML on my 09 MBP, the latest software is installed on all devices. My router settings were followed from apple's troubleshooting suggestion, nothing. After resetting my router and resetting ATV twice, still nothing. Seems to be a known issue just by goggling it. Some have had luck by resetting their router and ATV but nothing for me.

What kind of network connections do you use?
I have my Mac Mini iTunes server, NAS and aTV all wired to Gbit Ethernet bridge, no skipping I can tell of.

Which Linksys, better yet run the ATV using wired Ethernet to the router. WiFi is more about convenience than throughput.

e2500. I'll have to take it to our bedroom to check if this works. Only problem is my phone jack is in our bedroom in my apartment and none in the living room. still doesn't matter, it should work via wireless router. correct?

It's supposed to be a decent dual band router. But WiFi can be unpredictable, especially in WiFi dense neighbourhoods.

I'd definitely try a wired connection just to see what happens.

will do, thanks blueroom.

I haven't tried video but it skips audio. I cannot play anything from my library on iTunes via airplay.
