Airplay Wirelessly play back from Ipad

I would like to use my Ipad to record video from one wireless network (friends house) and have it play through my Apple TV back at home. Does anyone know if this is possible or do both devices have to be in the same local wireless network?

Not possible that I know of. Both your iDevice and the AppleTV need to be on the same network for AirPlay to work.
