Airplay works with iTunes but not Pandora?

So have my fancy new iPhone 5 with IOS 6. I can use Airplay to my Apple TV from iTunes but not Pandora. Anyone have a thought on why that would be? I see the Airplay icon in the Pandora app, but it does not respond to a touch.

Any suggestions appreciated (will go enter a question on the pandora site, too).

Double-click the home button to bring up the multi-task controls. Swipe right until you see the play controls. You will also see the airplay control and can switch to a different destination there. That should allow you to stream pandora.
