I rarely can get the battery card to pop up anymore since getting my iPhone X. I can still see battery level just fine in widgets though.

Is this an iPhone issue or IOS 11 issue?

It's random when it does happen for me as well. It's never consistent for myself either, even when on iOS 10. I'm not sure why this is, but I never have the battery indicator display every single time My AirPods connect.

It was a lot more consistent on my 7 plus running iOS 11. Hopefully they come out with a fix to make it more reliable.

I don't think it's supposed to be when you connect...i think it's supposed to be when you have the iPods in the case and the lid of the case open near your device. I sometimes have to hold it there a few seconds.

It happens to me quite often. I'd say the I get the pop up about 60% of the time under iOS 11, less often when I was running 10. I'm on an iPhone 7, so it's definitely not something related exclusively to the X.

Yea. I’m strictly talking about an open lid with at least one pod in the case. The card should pop up every time for battery info

iPods? When you initially connect , it does give you the battery indicator showing the AirPod/battery case charging status when you open the battery case lid and it's also supposed to indicate when you open the battery case mid as well. However, even when initially connecting, I still don't receive the battery indicator on a consistent basis. So the inconsistency goes both ways when you open the lid or initially connect for the first time.

Mine doesn’t pop up every single time and it’s bugging me. I open the lid right next to the phone and nothing. Close it and reopen it and it comes up maybe half the time.

I've noticed the Battery pop-up is much more responsive lately.

I'm thinking the last IOS update spruced it up.

Anyone else notice this?

If my airpods are connected to my 8 Plus, it's a crap shoot as to whether the card pops up, maybe 50% of the time it will. However, if the airpods are connected to my Mac, it almost always shows up on the phone when I hold it up to it. Strange.
