AirPod Quality Control Issues

Hello everyone. Got my Airpods yesterday and they are amazing. The only thing that bugs me is the quality control with Apple this year. I have had to get my iPhone 7 plus replaced three times due to that static microphone noise from video recordings which is now fixed in my new phone thankfully.

But now I have noticed quality issues on my AirPods. If you look at the picture below (from a YouTube video) you can see the seems of the Airpods where they are glued or fitted together. This seems to be an issue with some AirPods and i have that issue too with my right one but not that bad, the left one is perfect. Went into Apple and they said they will replace it when they have more stock. This has annoyed me alot as I was really enjoying these until i noticed this quality issue.

Do any of you have this issue on yours? Does it bother you? It certainly bothers me as its meant to be flush and almost seemless. My Earpods that came with my iPhone 7 Plus do not have these issues so i do not expect these too as they cost £159.

I have it. Called apple. sending me an express replacement pair. wouldnt bother me so much if it didnt have crack/fracture as well.

Thankfully mine don't have any issues. I gave it a good look over and the only thing I can criticise is the mic mesh being fractionally out of alignment, haha!

It really sucks I haven't had a first time good experience this year with Apple. I've had nothing but disappointment from first unboxes. Yes I know I can get it replaced. But it still kills the mood. Never had these issues before the 6S.

I have same issue, but mine is not very visible so I guess it's not a big deal. I'll ask Apple if they can replace it
