AirPods 1 worth buying now?

I can currently buy AirPods at £127, is it worth buying them now? I see rumours of AirPods 2 but am worried they will be much more expensive. What's your thoughts?

Meh. I just bought mine now and even if they come out tomorrow unless there is drastic improvement of Sound quality I don’t really care. ANC is impossible or won’t even do much because of the open design these have

Active noise cancellation. Technically it’s possible but impossible to turkey work because of their design.

This question comes up a lot. If you want them, buy them. There is no inclination of when the AirPods 2 will release in 2019, but the current AirPods are more than sufficient in terms of offering battery life and capabilities, which we really don’t have much information for Gen 2 AirPods, other than some health features possibly.

I have a feeling that AirPods 2 will be sold along side AirPods 1 but at a higher price. A bit like the old and new Pencil. But who really knows.

That’s different though . You can’t use the 2nd gen pencil on older iPads which can use the first gen one and the other way around I believe.

True, you can’t, but why not reduce the price of the first gen pencil or at least keep both at the same price point? Just because the 2nd gen pencil can’t be used on older iPads isn’t a reason for a price increase. Or am I missing something?

And the Apple Watch went up in price. The justification was some more features. It seems to be the Apple way at the moment and I have a feeling they won’t change it with AirPods. Quite a few of the high end wireless earbuds are now more than $159 so Apple have a justification. Time will tell.

The 2nd gen pencil can do more . Though idk if it’s worth more
