I saw that Apple is offering a 6-month free Apple Music trial for people that own select AirPods etc. Can anyone confirm if you are still eligible for this if you’ve already activated the long-standing 3-month Apple Music trial? I saw new subscribers only. I’m not sure if I would be considered a subscriber at this point. Anyone been thru this already?

If I had the where with all I would make a video spoof of the cloth cleaning a badly scratched phone and it coming up brand spanking new shiny.

I don’t get the polishing cloth hype
I mean, it certainly makes sense for the XDR display, since its surface isn’t perfectly smooth (IIRC, it’s a textured matte finish) and the matte finish could likely be ruined by cleaning cloths not designed for it. And they may incorporate similar finishes in future products. But it’s certainly partially a meme, and I’m sure some people will use it as a status symbol (despite it being a very stupid one).

The genius that suggested that they sell a square of material that cost 49 cents for $20 bucks should get a raise.
Manufacturing tolerances probably aren’t that cheap. Cost to manufacture, I’d guess, is somewhere in the $5 to $10 range, but that’s just a random guess.

Wait for the unboxing videos. Then you will…. no probably not then either…
We know Lee at Unboxed Therapy will certainly unbox these. After all, he did it with the Mac Pro wheels and he didn’t say a word through the entire video. I foresee a similar video for the polishing cloth.

Waiting for upgraded version that is ,Find my cloth’ compatible or at least air tag! I’ll never find mine after first use!

There isn’t any. Whilst many are getting it for simply for the jokes, Apple meanwhile will take it as further evidence that they can charge what they like, for whatever they like, and some will pay.

I get joking about it and making fun of it, I've done it too, but I don't then feel the urge of buying it ... that is what I find concerning.

Didn't quite work out for the HomePod
