Huh, after my airpods pro survived the washing machine in their case I assumed I just didn't realize that was a feature- guess I was just super lucky lol

My pods survived trip through the washing machine but the case did not.

So this is good news.

This is good news. My AirPod 1 and 2 have each been through the wash cycle a couple of times. I have been lucky with just blowing out the speaker grill with air and making sure to let the case dry for a few days before re charging. But official water proofing will bring some peace of mind.
