I still think that's coming in the Spring

The entire top portion of the case flips open on a hinge. Getting rid of one tiny physical button won't add much protection.

Yes but it's two different things. Gaps around buttons lead to the inseide of the deice. The top cap opens up and the entire surface inside can be water proof.

The real reason of corse, it looks better. I happy with it. It matters how it looks.

Exactly like the Apple TV remote with a GLASS touch pad. They tested that thoroughly.

The glass trackpad itself was fine. The design flaw was the entire remote being so thin and symmetrical, you couldn't tell — by feel — if it was pointing the right way.

I don’t think it’s explicitly “hidden” as the author insists. It’s just not a physical button. Calling it “hidden” is misleading (ie. clickbait).
