Amazon this weekend has major discounts on a few AirPods models, including a new all-time low price on the AirPods 4. You can get the base AirPods 4 for $99.99 on Amazon, down from $129.00.

Amazon also has the AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation for $149.99, down from $179.00. We did track these at a lower price during the 2024 holiday season, but that deal never returned and today's is the best we've seen so far in 2025.

Additionally, you can get the AirPods Pro 2 for $169.00 today on Amazon, down from $249.00. This is the lowest price we've tracked so far in 2025 on the AirPods Pro 2, and it's an overall solid second-best price.

I really liked the AirPods Pro 2. Except for one thing - they gave me terrible vertigo. It's a shame because I think they're an outstanding product. Unfortunately, I can't use them (unless I want to feel ill).

What do you think causes the vertigo? I suffer from occasional vertigo but the app2 don’t seem to have any affect.

The AirPods Pro 2, with one monstrous caveat, are quite possibly the best hearing aids mere mortals can buy.

The caveat is that they need to be charged multiple times per day — not a problem if you’re just using them to listen to music, but a serious handicap if you’re using them as hearing aids. For no small number of people, that’ll be a showstopper from the get-go.

But, if you can get past the battery life, everything else about them is superior to my $7k+ ReSound hearing aids. Vastly superior. The ReSounds are good hearing aids, to be sure, and quite effective. But the AirPods Pro 2 make it sound like I’m walking around with a full high-quality mobile recording studio glued to my head.

(The physical form factor is better with the ReSounds … significantly so, but, again, nowhere near better enough to match the audio quality.)

(Also note that insurance paid for my ReSounds.)

At $170 … I’m sorely tempted to buy a second pair, just to be able to swap with no downtime. Probably will the next time prices get this low.

I can't begin to imagine how this would happen. It makes no reasonable sense that putting an airpod into the external auditory canal should affect the semicircular canals or inner ear/vestibular nerve. What did the ENT specialist tell you?

Possibly the noise cancellation? I'm guessing it's bothering you both on and off?

You may not be able to imagine it but it's a real issue. My brother bought a pair and had the same problem. A simple internet search - “AirPods Pro 2 vertigo” - will produce a number of other accounts for you to read from people who have had the same experience with them.

Yes. At first I thought it was due to the noise cancellation. I turned that off and the problem persisted. It's a shame because I really like them in every other way - sound quality, features, comfortable to wear, etc.

You pushed me over the edge with that comment. I'd be toying with getting them for casual hearing aid usage. Wife already has AP4s which I use a lot, her less so. I find I struggle to follow conversations or speeches at events and I know I need something to aid my aging ears. I've had my hearing tested a few years ago but ignored the advice I got then to get hearing aids. That and I recently won a $100 Amazon gift voucher. $69.99 for APP2 is difficult to say no to.

I was just going to suggest that before I read the end of your comment…that the price might be cheap enough for some people in need to buy two pairs.
