Hi, I'm using AirPods 4 and the box says to charge with a 3W or 5W charger, but I have a regular 20W USB adapter, like a standard iPhone charger. Will I have any problems charging with this adapter?

No, you’ll be absolutely fine - even Apple’s 20w USB-C power brick has them listed as being compatible for AirPods charging:

AirPods Models

  • AirPods Pro 3
  • AirPods 4
  • AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation
  • AirPods Pro 2
  • AirPods Pro 2 with MagSafe Charging Case (Lightning)
  • AirPods Pro (1st generation) with MagSafe Lightning Charging Case
  • AirPods (3rd generation) with MagSafe Charging Case
  • AirPods (3rd generation) with Lightning Charging Case
  • AirPods with Wireless Charging Case (2nd generation)
  • AirPods (2nd generation)
  • AirPods Max
  • AirPods Max (Lightning Connector)
  • AirPods (1st generation)

Adapter capacity should be thought of as a "minimum." You'd be fine even using a 140w MacBook charger.

The AirPods won't draw any more than they can use, regardless of the capacity.

I don't even check the charger just assume if it fits it works lol
To a point, that's usually true.

I have a USB-A port built into my end-table next to the couch, and it has a USB-A to USB-C cable plugged into it. I normally use it to keep my iPad charged (11" Air M2)

Just for grins & giggles, I plugged in my 16" MacBook Pro M1 Max. It recognizes the charger, though it does say "Not Charging"... probably it would charge if the Mac were asleep (albeit veeerrrryyyyyyy sssssllllllloooooowwwwwwlllllllllyyyyyyyy)

You're right, I plugged it in with a 20W charger and it didn't even get hot. Thanks everyone.

I like the Aerodrome; is it resistant to falls, and I'm wondering if it will get damaged if I think about it.
