Honestly all of that for $20 is odd. It's just so close together..... i'm sure there's a reason. But just seems like AirPods could just be AirPods, not decision to make. Just all the latest and greatest stuff
It's very odd. Can't believe it's deliberate.

Maybe there's a shortage of components for the "expensive" model? This approach lets them keep the cheap model in stock after the expensive one sells out.

I can see them deleting the cheap version down the line when component supply catches up.

You’re talking too much like Steve. That would make too much sense. Let’s nickel and dime customers and confuse them with all these product lines and variants seems to be now what Ternus learned from Crook.

I’m still on AirPods Pro 2 and ANC has noticeably degraded (seems to be a common complaint). So I’m a bit skeptical the Pros have significantly better ANC anyway.
So I used to think the same with my AirPods Pro too and one of the reason I sold AirPods Pro Max. With the iOS beta and the new equalizer it actually sounds pretty decent. It is very basic though.

Plus, I found a video online where they suggested blowing into one of the holes to clean or clear them out. There's also some videos that use a certain putty to remove earwax or debris. I feel like it actually did do a little bit of an improvement.

I have the pro 3s but I'm really thinking about coming back to the Airpod 5s. I just don't like the pros always slipping out of the ears. You can show how to put the tips in and I try various sizes, but I feel like the Airpods will be a lot more comfier.

I agree, this does seem odd.
No weight difference at all!?

That seems impossible.
The specs show the same weight for both versions? I really want to get to the bottom of this because if the cheaper version is lighter then I would prefer that one. I love how lightweight the 4’s are. But if they really are the exact same weight then might as well pay $20 more.
