AirPods and Beats Firmware Updates Address Important Security Issue

My update hasn't gone through, and I've tried every combination that people have shared to try to force it. It would be helpful to have a way to do it ourselves.

After the update, the range of BlueTooth seems to have diminished. I had areas in our office where I knew they would continue to work after getting up from my desk, but now I lose signal in those same areas. Hopefully just a coincident.

I noticed that my AirPods Pro 2 got the update today while not being on charge(I mean I didn't plug them in today at all), can it be possible?

Yes the one that was forcibly added to everyone’s libraries and couldn’t be deleted for ages until Apple made a webpage specifically for the sole purpose of removing that single album.

I’m curious, I’ve also found that Bluetooth would work beyond the 33 feet as expected. Is the distance where it cuts now now greater than 33 feet? I can see how lowering it would mean an attacker would have access to fewer passersby.

I wondered what was happening. I was using mine then put then in the case then tried to use them again. No go. Had to end up re-pairing with them.
