Okay, I'm having tons of problems with the AirPods + Apple Watch. I have paired and re-paired. I have tried using them in isolation with just the Watch or in combination with an iPhone.

With an iPhone, they generally work well. With a Watch, everything goes berserk.

Here's a brief list:

* the double tap settings set on the Phone but used on the Airpods are *sometimes* respected, but other times they resort to the default Siri setting.
* if I start playing a song on the iPhone, I can generally control it with the Watch Music/Now Playing app. Sometimes.
* If I start playing music synced to the Watch, it will play one song, and then stop. Pressing Play/Pause sometimes works to get things started, but sometimes it takes several tries. This is the most annoying and frustrating thing.

This is just a small list. Things get even worse if I throw in a Macbook I occasionally want to use with the airpods.

The experience with the Watch is so generally inconsistent that I am hesitant to use them.

Any help? I have tried all the various unpair/forget/reboot scenarios one can imagine.

I have zero issues with Airpods and the Watch each and every time. I'm not saying that to be boastful, but seems as if there's a glitch maybe in your watch software. I would try resetting it. It's time consuming but maybe this is the solution
