Recently got a pair of AirPods (1st gen) and have been experiencing glitchy playback on my 12" MacBook running Mojave.
Absolutely no issues when paired with my iPhone X.
(I've also experienced glitchy audio playback in the past when I paired my 12" MB to a Bluetooth speaker set)

Already tried resetting the Bluetooth module, but didn't solve the problem.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

I agree. The trouble i've had with 2.4ghz WiFi and interference from neighbours over the years has ruined movie nights over the years. I have now disabled 2.4 on my router and everything is running superbly on the 5ghz setting. 2.4 is a true nightmare!

Google's mac application for Android devices was also causing my Bluetooth to glitch out on my iMac. I uninstalled the application and all was good.

The weird part is that application has nothing to do with Bluetooth.
