From some of the photos I've seen, it looks like it could be a 2 meter Lightning cable, however I expect it is only a 1 meter. Can anyone confirm what the length is? Thanks!

In other words very short. I've resorted to using one of my 2 metre cables that I have of my iPhone and iPad.

not to derail too much but what are the reputable 3rd party 2m cables. I bought a couple amazon ones at one of their little pop up stores...its a third of the retail of the official apple 6ft cable. Seems to work well so far

I'm using an Amazon Basics 6ft Lightning cable at work and it's far sturdier and more durable than the lightning cables I've gotten with iPhones/iPads. Good price too.

Mine arrived yesterday and i didn't even realize there was a cable in the box until it was mentioned here. (It's under a cardboard insert)

So yeah, really small cable.

As long as they're MFI certified they should be OK.

Anker cables are my go to non apple brand.
