Looks pretty nice - simple and clean and looks like it will protect the cans whilst in a bag, jostling around with other stuff. Let us know what you think when you get it!

Geekria UltraShell

This is what I got together with their silicon skins. It came with a faux leather pouch. The products smell of chemical odour. I had to aerate it for a few days.

My Geekria case was the same as soon as I took it out of the plastic wrapping got a strong chemical odour.

I don't like the way the "TOLUOHU Headband Cushion" looks, I also don't like how it prevents the knit mesh from compressing on your head. See how the headband is raised in the bottom image?

I clicked to return the Headband Cushion to Amazon and they gave me a refund but told me I didn't need to return the item LOL.

Heh thanks for the images and feedback, quick question if you don't mind, the Geekria Silicone skins do they interfere with the low power mode? Meaning with them on do the AirPods Max still go into low power mode?

I honestly don't know if they interfere with low power mode, as I just got them last night and I haven't tested it. My guess is that they would not interfere with the magnets because it is a rather thin piece of Silicone.

Not sure how to test that... I guess I would have to put it into the case and wait 18 hours to see if it disconnects from bluetooth and FindMy.

I have a similar Silicone skin grip on my Apple Pencil 2.0 and it still attaches to my iPad magnetically and it still charges.

They smell chemically out of the box, and you can slightly smell it when you wear them. But I expect that to go away after a couple of days. I really like the Geekria Silicone covers. To me they look nice on the AirPods Max, and they don't clank when the ear cups bump together anymore. They feel nice to touch, and there is a small cut out for every opening on the ear cups. They are very tight on the cups so it's like a thin skin, but it also feels protective from bumps and scratches.

I ordered a case from Amazon the other day and it arrived today. Realy pleased with it. It has a kind of hard nylon exterior with faux suede interior that's really soft. The APM fits with the Apple case and there's space for the charger and cable. The case feels solid and is well made. The only thing I would change is that the carrying strap isn’t detachable, but I guess it's a quick fix with the aid of a pair of scissor. All ind all, 10 out of 10 👍🏻

The colors came out bad in the pictures, both exterior and interior are deep black.

Thanks @Kobra This one is my favourite so far. Very nice and compact, has an inner lip to protect the headphones from the zipper, and accommodates the headphones at pretty much the same amount of telescope extension I have too.


Does it smell of chemicals, and does airing it out help?

EDIT: The images on the Amazon store page suggest that the headphones cannot be placed inside with any degree of telescoping. I don't know what to think now.

Nice looking case but it doesn’t have the magnets to switch the AirPods Max into low power mode does it?

There was no bad smell when I unboxed it, nothing more than than what came from unboxing the APM.

you can have them telescoped out, but not by much. I have mine about 5mm, I guess there's room for about 1cm or so.

The case doesn't have magnets and that's how I like it. I wanted a case with room for the Apple case to give extra protection. Also, I wouldn't trust that any built in magnets would put the APM to sleep.

I was looking at the case as it looks really nice but it doesn’t have a butterfly magnet fixing to put the headphones in to sleep mode
