This is clearly for "repairability". Headband ripped/broken? Just swap the headband.
Something's wrong with the left earcup? Just swap the left earcup.
Don't get your hopes up, the innards clearly show a hefty metal construction for the hinge and attachment of the headband, this would mean a complete redesign to have it work with plastic parts.I usually apply the same logic, but I really needed new headphones and lept at these immediately. I very much hope the v2 is significantly lighter. I could happily forego the "premium" aluminum to get a few dozen grams off my head.
I think it became popularised by sneakers/trainers, at least that's where I've always associated the word. A pair of shoes can be released in different colourways (colour schemes).Today I learned a new word from Mac Rumors: "colorway".
Tell me, how many of you knew that word before this article.
To make way for a multi-billion dollar third-party headband industry..... like the AppleWatch did with wristbands. 😂Not sure why anyone would would want or need to remove the headband but okay ....
yeah we can all thank AdamI salute the guy who decided "Well why not stick something in the little hole and see what happens."
I hope not because making them independently wireless would be silly if there’s a connecting item.Am I the only one who assumed that these would be connected to each other via a wire instead of truly wireless?
