Love my space gray pair… get a ton of use out of them. I’ve had each version of the AirPods and they might be my favorite apple product. They are absolutely expensive but worth it for me… I think I’d choose every color but the silver actually, although the actual performance would certainly still be worth it - just not wild about the color

I bought the "space grey" Black from Target a few weeks ago... While pricey... Best Headphone experience I've ever had... Haven't used the XM4's since I did a "soundtest" between the two a few days after getting the Max's...
got the same ones at Target a few weeks ago. No regrets.

Quote at the end of the article : “Note: MacRumors is an affiliate partner with Amazon. When you click a link and make a purchase, we may receive a small payment, which helps us keep the site running.”

They must be able to generate revenue to run the site and compensate all of the people involved. Few people will work for free and fewer will actually pay out of their own pockets to provide a service to others. There are costs associated with running a site like this and they aren’t small. They have targeted ads and they get a spiff when links to products or services they write about result in sales. It’s not like they are trying to hide it. Hence the quote you referenced. If they weren’t open about it that would be a bit shady but they are so it’s pretty obvious that reader discretion is advised.

Got my Open Box pair coming today. Silver. Unpopular choice apparently, and I know it’s probably placebo, so much cooler than the XM4s on my ears. Not sure how the blacks are, but I just find the silver along with the white band super premium and “Apple” looking.

Same here. They’re so good I can actually clearly pick up when a track is poorly mastered vs. ones that are well done. These are some of the best “listening” phones I’ve used.

Put simply, they make my ears happy and I have listened back through all of my favorite music again to experience it with the added definition and texture.

They’re really wonderful headphones and I’m not at all disappointed after paying the cost of entry.
