AirPods Max issue

So I have this weird issue with my AirPods Max where after taking them off the charger if I don’t hold the crown and the button on top while taking them off the charger they will be completely unresponsive unless I plug them back in and hold the two buttons on top. I have taking them to Apple and they replaced the battery and I’ve had this issue since at least the 16 pro max I’m on the air right now. Any reason for this?

The firmware is very buggy. I own it and I can confirm that.

Sorry I have no idea, but I was just curious—how did you figure out you had to hold down the crown and button while taking it off the charger?

through trial and error lol but yeah if i charge overnight if i don't that they don't work
