I generally find on-ear uncomfortable as there is constant pressure on my ear against the legs/arms of my glasses.
For over-ear (APM) the issue is not so much on the ear pressing against the glass legs/arms but glass legs/arms pressing again the skull and this is what starts to hurt after sometime. Two ways I solved this problem:
1. After wearing my APM I move the cups slightly towards the back such that the end of the leg/arm is not fully trapped and pressed by earcups.
2. I have spare glasses that have shorter legs/arms and I don’t face any problem on those.
You may want to refer to this link to check the length of your glass arms.

I'm a glasses guy, or a guy wearing a pair of glasses. I got my Airpods Max silver today, and found out that it is not that comfortable wearing both the glasses and Max, since the legs of the glasses are pressed between the ears and the ear covers.

I wonder if any of you have the same experience? Thanks.

Henry
No issues here.

I thought they were clampy at first with glasses, but I don't use glasses that often so I just accepted it as is. But it is way better now a month down the road. I don't know if I got used to it or if the headphones stretched a bit, I suspect a bit of both.

I still prefer using APMs without glasses, but I don't experience any pain or fatigue now.

Big issues here, Airpods Max are the least comfortable headset I've used with glasses :(

They are huge and thus the glasses' frame can't stay on top of them, and they are very rigid so they press soooo much.
I basically can't wear them with glasses, I had no problems with Bose or Sony.

I’m sorry the APM aren’t comfortable for you. They certainly aren’t for everyone.

But I’m at a loss how you can describe the ear cushions as rigid. They are made of memory foam (and the foam will adjust to the frames of eyeglasses).

Have you tried stretching the frame to reduce the clamping force? (There’s a thread in this forum.)
