Whenever I go to use my airpods, the right pod is always indicating really low battery like 5% and the left is always at almost full charge. I don't understand why it does this and it's very annoying. I never use them separately. I put them back in the case after I'm done with them. If I don't use them for a few days and go to use them, this is how it is every time with the right being really low. Anyone else have this issue?

It appears the right Airpod either is having some sort of charging issue or the battery might be faulty. But I don't believe it's the charging case, as the left Airpod charges normal according to you. I would contact Apple For the right Airpod replacement, as it's under warranty.

I'm just impressed that you actually have a pair of AirPods... little suckers are hard to come by.

I recently had this problem after nearly 6 months of ownership. I took some screen shots and then made an appointment with Genius. He said he didn't know if the issue was with the bud or case so he swapped out both. So far everything is normal again.

I had the exact same issue with the left one. I had them plugged into my 2011 iMac via usb. Once I connected them to the iPhone wall charger, they fully charged with no issue. For some reason, they don't fully charge equally when connected to my iMac.

I'm still having this same issue. The right bud is always dead or almost dead and the left one is always full. I don't have an Apple store near me. The closest one is like 120 miles away. My choices are either to drive that far or call support and probably have to send them in.

This issue starting presenting with my right airpod as well. Left one works just fine, right seems to die first.
Yesterday I even went to just put the right one back in the case, no orange light. There may be something wrong with the connecting interface. But as far as I can see, no dust or anything blocking. Tried it again today at the gym, right one wasnt charged. Though this time when I just put the right one in, the light turned orange.

Anyone who has gone to the Genius appointment, have they identified a cause, or just swapped them out?

I had a problem with my left one randomly disconnecting right after launch and they just replaced it.

Then, for some unknown reason they wouldn’t pair correctly so Apple replaced the charging case as well.
