I remember when AirPods (and white earbuds in general) were a status symbol but that seems to be fading. Newer generations seem to think they're for "the olds" as I see more and more younger people using their speakers in public to watch videos, play games and Face Time.
Wow, still holding onto that mindset. Headphone jacks are an annoyance. Wasted countless headsets because the connectors wore out after a few months.Still miss the headphone jack all the time. I will never buy these.
Yeah, they looked silly, but the design was more practical in a number of ways than the AirPods 3 and 4. It’s frustrating when Apple prioritizes form over function.Thats totally fair. My comment was more about the issues with their launch. The issue wasn't really with the device or its usablity, but it looks really dumb. There is a reason why they haven't replicated the shot I was referring to in their later promo shots. Everything for the APP3 is side on.
Agreed, and at least for me, one of the few recent Apple products that just work as they should day in and day out. No major connectivity or battery issues, no major bugs (one firmware update was wonky but that’s it) and just reliably good sound/noise cancellation. Static seems to plague many, but I’ve seemed to avoid it (knock on wood 😂)Easily one of the best, and most iconic, product categories Apple has ever come out with.
You do have to eventually through them away, but at least you're not throwing away much and the batteries are recyclable. There's so many literal bigger problems out there.Until you can change the batteries in these things, these are manufactured e-waste.
I miss the Floppy Disc very muchStill miss the headphone jack all the time. I will never buy these.
Most people toss their headphones without bothering to service the batteries either way. I am willing to bet that the majority of electronic devices end up as landfill regardless of how repairable or serviceable they are.Until you can change the batteries in these things, these are manufactured e-waste.
