I want to buy my wife some wireless earbuds for her birthday. I've narrowed my choices to these 2 and was wondering if anybody has any personal experience with either one? I've read all the reviews but I always like hearing from actual users.

She travels a LOT so she'll be using these at the airport and/or on a train often and she's not an audiophile, mainly listening to spotify or watching netflix or Hulu on her phone. I think sound isolation is a big factor but also ease of use, she hates when tech doesn't function and isn't a gear head and just wants things to work easily.

So...thoughts and opinions on which might work better for her use? Thanks all

I have both and unfortunately one doesn't do everything.

For sound isolation, and in my opinion, overall better sound because of the isolation the Jabra seems to be better. If she's going to use it for travel the isolation would probably be better. The Jabra also has more buttons that allow you to do more than the limited tapping jesters on the AirPods.

For ease of use the AirPods are without peer. From easily seeing the battery level of the case and each pod and the ability to use each by themselves or together is great. The Jabra only allows the right one to be used as a solo device.

Like I said I have both and use both equally. However, when I travel I use the Jabra's more. For hanging out in the house or in areas without a lot outside noise I use the AirPods.

You can't really go wrong with either option. I would just focus on the main area they will be used and decide from there.

Thanks for that. I bought both and my wife decided she likes the AirPods best so I think I’ll keep the Jabra. Thanks for the help and information.

Now I’m looking at the silicone covers for the AirPods, any experience with these?

I listen to music all the time. (kinda becoming a problem) i have my airpods in probably 12-13 hours a day. I've gone through many headphones and headsets both wireless and wired and i must say i am very impressed with the airpods. It was hard for me justifying the cost at first given i had heard a bunch of talk about potentially losing them, their sound quality ect. I was shocked when i got them. Now, i cant live without them. Theyre super comfortable, theyre small and compact, they charge very quickly, i'd put the sound quality at like 6.5/10 (10 being a really nice audio headset)which is really good for wireless headphones. I think i made my position clear in being on the airpod suggestion i think your wife will love them.
