I have two pairs of AirPods Pro, both around three years old. I use them regularly, so they’ve both seen a lot of use. The problems started when one earbud from the first pair suddenly stopped working completely — no sound at all. Then, within a couple of weeks, the microphone on one earbud from the second pair stopped working too.

I took the two remaining working earbuds, paired them together in one case, and synced them. After about two months of use, the left earbud started rattling, and the other one stopped producing sound, just like the earbud from its original pair.

Yeah, I understand that electronics don’t last forever. But in this case, I was using two pairs, which means each pair was effectively only used for about 1.5 years. That doesn’t feel acceptable to me. I don’t think I’ll buy AirPods again. For now, I’m using EarPods and my old B&W over-ear headphones.
