I'm actually experiencing much better standby battery life compared to the APP1, must be related to Find My being more efficient with the U1 chip.

Anyone having issues with case is still connected to my phone? It this because of the find my feature?

Same here. I think it’s a feature? I listened yesterday evening putting everything back in its place and woke up and the earbuds and case show up in my battery widget. Case lost about 10% overnight.

Yes, this seems to be a new feature. You can always see the battery levels within the widget.

Yea I think so too. My first gen airpods Pro does not show this nor does the Airpods 3. Must be a new feature for the Airpods Pro Gen 2 then.

Hello, MacRumors long time listener, first time caller. I registered to ask the very question here, I just got my AirPods Pro (gen 2's) and noticed that the case and headphones show up always in my battery widget, which is new. I was worried there was something defective with mine, but I think you guys are all experiencing that? Thanks in advance!

Same here, AirPods Pro 2, battery levels for case and AirPods show up in the widget. Was 100% for both but now case dropped to 91% overnight. Seems to be holding at 91%. Firmware is 5A377.

That's funny, now I notice that my case is also at 91% battery, same firmware.

I’m on 5A377 as well and have this battery drain. Have lost 25% in the last 24hr (have been using my Pro Max at the office so haven’t touched the airpods pro 2 today).

I noticed that the battery widget always shows the buds as charging. Even after not opening the case for hours. Is this normal?

Alternatively Im wondering if Find My is using some of the battery.

I think it’s definitely Find My. If I switch it off, my battery drain reduces

Having the same issue with battery drain… still on 5A374 firmware as it just won’t update.

Does anyone know if you can get the updated APP2 firmware (5A377) if you're running iOS 15.7? I've had my APP2's since Sunday and have not been able to get the firmware updated. Wondering if you need some version of iOS 16 to get the firmware update?

According to Apple:

"To use your iPhone or iPad to check that your AirPods are up to date, make sure that you have the latest version of iOS or iPadOS. Go to Settings > Bluetooth > AirPods. Tap the "More Info" button , then scroll down to the About section to find the firmware version."

My iPhone 12 says it's up-to-date on 15.7, but also give me an option to update to iOS 16. Just curious if anyone running iOS 15.7 has received the APP2 firmware update?

I’m having the exact same issue. I’m really not sure if this behavior is intended or not.

You found any solution?
