Airpods pro 2 does not show battery status in settings

Hi. Just bought air pods pro 2 and when i connected them to my iphone 13 mini with IOS 16.7.2 its shows nothing. In Settings when i tap on Air Pods pro , i have all options but on the top its blank, and i cant see tha battery stats of case and aidpods. I cant see them in Find My too..
They are with latest firmware, but when i connected them for the first time, they asked me for update to IOS 17 , and i choose to set up with limited functionality... Any ideas what i can do? I dont want to update my phone because apple whant to update....

If you don't want to update your iPhone, there isn't much anyone can recommend to you. You've set them up with limited functionality. Updating your iPhone will almost certainly help you.

You'll just have to check battery by putting them into the case and opening the lid.
