They need something like this for text. Why does Apple choose the smallest font for all their text boxes? 50 inch tv and 3 paragraphs are smashed in to 3% of screen real-estate.
You can make subtitles larger. Got to Settings/Accessibility/Subtitles and Captioning
You can't exactly make general text larger (a strange oversight), but you can turn it into bold which helps many people with poor eyesight. Go to Settings/Accessibility/Interface.

There may be other settings in Accessibility that help you with specific issues...

Honestly something I would love, and which I think they could easily do today if it weren't for the fact that the entire AppleTV team are lazy slackers utterly uninterested in ever doing anything new, is better handling of closed captions.
A common situation you have is:
- movie is playing with closed captions
- foreign language is spoken, which is displayed as burned-in text on top of the image BUT
- that burned in text appears below where the last subtitles were spoke, so they are covered by the subtitles!

This is not hard to fix; you just need AI scanning the video stream to detect text in the area where closed captions are displayed, and if that happens, move the closed captions somewhere else on the screen. Apple TV has all the hardware to do this, and Apple has way more sophisticated algorithms already written for scanning a video stream looking for text. It's just a question of CARING about making your product better than the bare minimum!

How many times have they tried to make automatic switching work now?
Honestly it has got better. In gen 1 (non-pro and pro) it was too slow and frequently didn't work.
With gen2 pro I'm impressed. I'd like it to be even faster, but it's no longer unbearably slow, and it fails maybe once a month or less. So this may be gated by HW, they can make it even better with gen 2, but with gen 1 you may be stuck with it being what it is.

This might be the exciting feature announced today for me. This will be so useful every single day. I’m so glad to hear automatic switching will be improved too.

Edit: Just realized this is only for the Pro 2 models, not the original Pros or Max. Well, got excited for nothing. Great.
Just buy gen 2 Pro. Give the gen 1 to friend or family (or hell, just any random person you like; I gave my old Apple watch to the secretary at my dentist because I noticed she was wearing an Apple Watch Series 0, so why not help her out?)

Gen 2 are just so much faster in the little things, and the nose cancellation is noticeably better. They're still uncomfortable for too long in the ear (the only time I notice is flights) but, one step at a time.

Never works for me on Gen2

Thanks for sharing this. I could not find any information on which generation of AirPods Pro this works on. I have the AirPods Pro 1. Bummer.

90% of these features are AirPods Pro 2nd generation. The only feature coming to other models is the press step to mute on a call.

What's absolutely hilarious is these new features aren't supported on the £500 AirPods Max.

Max 2 to be released in the fall, just after the back to school crowd is out of their 14(?) day, no questions asked, return window.

Says AirPods, but are any of the improvements coming to the "Beats" line of products such as Beats Fit Pro, Powerbeats Pro, etc?
