My AirPods Pro 2 are delivering uneven audio when listening to songs. It is VERY noticeable with sound (including calls and music) dominant in one ear.

But here is the thing - it changes depending on what device I am using to listen from.

  • Very strongly right biased from my MacBook Pro
  • very strongly left biased from my personal iPhone 13 mini and iPad mini
  • relatively even (maybe a little right biased?) from my work iPhone 13 Pro
I've checked the audio balance on all devices and they are 0/0 and I have tried turning spatial audio on and off and it makes no difference.

This must be some software glitch? The fact it changes from device to device has me stumped. And it is ANNOYING.

Anyone else have a similar experience or thoughts?

Cheers

Thanks, I had a read through that thread and my issue is different. My panning works as it should but the balance is and remains off-centre from the point I start listening.

It is intermittent and different with different devices, so I am sure it is a software issue of some sort.

Grrrr.

I've been suffering the same problem, and audio balance is a huge thing for me, but I found a fix, at least until Apple pull their thumbs out of a dark crevice...

Tape over the mic port on the top of the weaker airpod. That's it. Trust me, it works brilliantly - I first tested it after my mate recommended I try it....Next stop, my local hardware store for white tape that's as thin as a bandaid!
