Move the slider too less audio NOT the middle. Like I said, the ANC is better than the 2s, at this point it's just a fact. You clearly either have a faulty pair or your settings aren't right. I've tried mine against the Pro 2s and there is a clear night and day difference.
Unfortunately same here so far. Will try them out a bit more after my ears recover but the APP3 are hell on my ears extremely uncomfortable. Thankfully I didn't sell off my Airpods 4 right away.I'm struggling with my APP3s. They're just not comfortable. I could wear my APP2 all day and forget they were even in. I'm trying different sized tips but I'm starting to get this creeping feeling that I'm going to have to return them. Sad, because the noise cancellation and adaptive modes are unbelievable.
Isn't this slider just for the adaptive setting and doesn't impact the noise cancellation setting at all?

Give them time, because they are new the tips can feel tight at first, over time they will loosen up.
Your wrongAs far as im aware it is for the adaptive but is a slider of how much outside noise is let in.
I've left the settings on how they come with my Pro 3s. I dont have an issue with the ANC, it works great and miles better than my Pro 2s.
Your wrong
After experimenting a bit, it feels like it's the actual plastic of the AirPods pushing against my ears, so I don't think the tips getting worn in are really going to do anything.
I've got a good week left to test before I decide so I'll definitely keep at it. But man at the moment it's such a relief to get them out of my ears and go back to the APP2.
Also Interesting - 1B transistors in that 'aged' two-year old chip. Compare that to 382M transistors in a 2010 Macbook Pro with a Core i7 640M. So ~6x the processing power (if you count both ears)I like these things (especially for the fit) - and they have advanced, but it's interesting that APP2/APP3/PBP2 all use the same H2 chip. From a search:
H2 chips: TSMC 7nm, 1B transistors, introduced 2023
Makes you wonder what kind of battery life or other features are in store when using a more modern node for an H3 chip...
Update on bike riding with APP3s... wind is still an issue, but much better than my APP2s. I don't need to pump the volume - as I used to - to compensate for the wind noise.
Yeah I have a fan in the window blowing air on me - APP3 do a lot better job with it than my 2s.Update on bike riding with APP3s... wind is still an issue, but much better than my APP2s. I don't need to pump the volume - as I used to - to compensate for the wind noise.
I tested them with my daughter by calling her. She said they sounded good. Better than the AirPods Pro 2.What about the microphones? Did they improve? With my AirPods pro 1 i often got the feedback, that the other one couldn’t understand me. And this wasn’t on noisy streets rather than smaller ones…
Thanks for testing. Were you on the streets or inside? ,aybe you can give it a try while walking on the streets with some site notices…I tested them with my daughter by calling her. She said they sounded good. Better than the AirPods Pro 2.
Interesting mix of results here. With 1's and 2's I always had to wiggle them around in my ears to get a perfect seal per Apple's eartip fit utility:
... but even then, it wouldn't last for a session: Just moving around would break the seal and the sound quality would plummet. Anyone seeing this with the 3's?
Just inside. Thanks for testing. Were you on the streets or inside? ,aybe you can give it a try while walking on the streets with some site notices…thanks!
