Does anyone get use out of the heart rate tracker on these things? Seems sort of like a gimmick. If you have an Apple Watch, you don't really need it. If you don't have an Apple Watch, it only tracks your heartbeat if you're wearing them.

I bought these on day one because I was so excited about live translation in my ear. It didn’t work out because so few languages were available.

Yep, they still fall out of my ears. Only the original AirPod and like designs work for me.

I must admit - I pulled the trigger on these when I needed to pack light for an international trip and didn't have space to bring my usual over the ear noise canceling headphones.

I have to say the noise canceling is a major step-up over APP2 on planes, as well as the battery life for a long flight. The sound signature with noticeably more bass does take some accommodation given the sweet balance of APP2, but I am used to it now and while I can't say that I prefer it, the 'fuller' sound does make the APP2 feel a little anemic in comparison.

If you're on the fence - I think it's a worthy upgrade.

Yeah - I have AW Ultra, so this is a redundant feature for me too. But I know a lot of folks who don't (and won't) wear a smart watch so I suppose it would be useful for them when working out.

Costco has it for the same price + free AppleCare. Better deal if you have the membership.

Aside from the deal, I am becoming concerned about purchasing any AirPods from Amazon now considering how many fake AirPods are getting into the market. It’s still not as bad as SD cards, but with massive inventories like Amazon, I won’t be surprised if some fake ones somehow get into their shelves (returns, swaps, etc.). So just be aware.

What are people’s thoughts on the new SoundCore Liberty 5 Pros with that new “Thus” chip? What I’m seeing so far makes it seem like it would give AirPods a lot of competition for people who don’t wanna pay more premium costs.

I guess I’ll buy these after my APP2s no longer keep a charge. I’m a little worried about the fit though. The 2s work very well for me, and those are discontinued now.
