I would argue the real reason for their success is how seamlessly they work inside the Apple ecosystem. You can't get any other set of headphones outside of Apples that work so well with their products. Given the amount of iPhones out there, it makes sense that they are the most popular ones.

This is definitely a big part of it. The other thing for me is that they are just excellent all arounders. Sound quality, fit, design, ANC, ease of use, multipoint, they do it all. I use em at my desk, on a run, with my Apple TV, for calls, etc. Even if they’re beaten in some ways by some competitors, they’re good if not excellent at everything and hence the only pair of headphones I need.

Good, reliable earbuds but the pricing is exorbitant. Obtained my pro 2’s through building trade loyalty points - only an idiot would spend what Apple are asking for their AirPods.

I got mine from Costco for about $80 off. That felt more in line for what they should realistically cost.

No. Just no. I know a guy that wears his AirPods as inexpensive hearing aids, and although they work for his hearing needs, it just looks silly to have white earbuds. Maybe it would look better if they came in a few different shades to try to match skin color and were not so obvious. But bright white just looks ridiculous.
You are right!

I concur with what everybody else has said. The Pro 2 are fantastic if a little pricey at MSRP. My only complaint why I definitely won't be spend money on the Pro 3 this year? The Pro 2 work too well still so I can't justify upgrading. I just extended the Applecare coverage as well so if they were to fail I'd get a free replacement and then I'd be set for a couple more years.

So really I don't see how I'll ever be able to justify the Pro 3. For anyone who doesn't have a pair of Airpods yet it's good that they'll have more models to choose from.

Am I the only one not impressed with AirPods 1? Maybe AirPods 2 are better but 1 are very disappointing. My galaxy buds se for £50 have better bass, better ANC and don’t have that pressure feeling while wearing.
