Good to see this. Hopefully the fit on the new Pro 3 will be good. My AirPods 4 fit me well but that was not the case with the 3rd gen.

If you’ve got the Apple Watch on and are using AirPods Pro 3, which device is deferred to for the heart rate readings or do they work in conjunction according to their averages or some other kind of formula?

DC Rainmaker in his video said that Apple will decide which source is more precise in case of AW and APP3 tracking heartbeats at the same time.

I think I read in a post or a support document that the iPhone will check which one is being more accurate and use that one, but the user can’t see or choose.

Do they have a picture of how to wear them properly? That would be helpful if position / angle makes a difference.

Look at the people wearing them in the APP3 section on Apple.com. I put my 2s in and twist the stem a bit so it points toward my mouth. I’ve seen some wear them with the tip facing straight down.

"Apple suggests starting with the medium size ear tip. If you can't achieve a good seal, switch to the larger tip. If the ear tip feels too large, switch to a smaller tip."

If the size you initially use feels too small then try a bigger size and if it feels too big then try a smaller size. Have we really ended up in a world where that concept needs to be explained in the instructions?

How do they react to the KNOG OI signal? amplify or not amplify? Otherwise, these trops in the ears create many dangerous situations in traffic.

They were always meant to be worn that way... stems positioned towards your mouth... which is just about 45 degree angle... right?
I saw a teenager yesterday wearing them with the tips pointing 45 degrees forwards and up. He did have a baseball cap on backwards though, so maybe it's just how all the kool kidz are wearing them these days.

I did discretely try twisting mine round to see how it worked so I could also be a trendsetter, but they wouldn't even stay in.

They are not. Apple has confirmed this.
What a bummer...my AP Pro 2's slip out of my ears after just a short amount of time. I bought them in hopes that same issue I was having with the 1's would be fixed and I'm not going to shell out the $ to find out the 3's are no better. Doesn't matter what tip size I use, the "seal" becomes compromised very quickly and if I'm doing something active, they will eventually fall out. My Beats fit pro work great and don't have that issue. I've tried the 3rd party "wing" tips for my Pro 2's and it works well but then you can't put them in the charging case which is a royal pain.

I think one of the early hands on mentioned the L tips are a little larger now—adding XXS apparently bumped everything else a bit bigger.

That said, I’ve historically always had issues with oval tips sealing (though like an idiot I’m trying again with APP3). What fixed it for my APP2s was round tips from AZLA. I’ve never had a problem with seal with those.

Won’t surprise me if I have to buy round tips again for these.

Have you watched the news lately or spent any time working amongst the unwashed masses?

I work in IT and deal directly with end users about 40% of the time. Thankfully it’s mostly management and C-Level executives at the client firms we deal with but even then, unfortunately, the answer is a resounding yes… 😂

- get memory foam earplugs.
- i tested both and the orange soft version is better than the yellow more rigid version from EAR.
- Cut off a disk from the large diameter end ca 1mm thick.
- punch a hole in the center ca 1.5 mm diameter.
- squeeze silicone globe periphery together and insert thru hole in foam disk.
- fold globe back.
- stick in ears.

i did this w my app2 and it fixed retention problem and blocked acoustic bleed through.

YMMV. Good luck.
