I'll agree on their weight. There's a serious weight discrepancy between Airpods Max and Sony/Beats/Bose versions.Why on earth wouldn't you believe that? As an ex Apple employee, when I returned them, a conversation with about 4 staff members started, one of which I knew. 3 of the 4 said the same thing, they couldn't wear them for long periods of time.
As for comfort: I've owned and used different brand before (Beats, Marshall) and I can tell right away if headphones will cause discomfort after a few hours. The Beats were good, but bad build quality. I wouldn't recommend Marshall. When I tried the Airpods Max in the Apple Store in Amsterdam they felt really good. In fact, they felt so good that I'm now considering them.
The only thing holding me back is the weight/price combo and the fact that they're probably close-ish to an update. I think it's a safe bet that an update will make them lighter, unless of course Apple just puts a new chip in them.
