AirPods Pro are spotty with Podcasts

I have an iPhone 12 and AirPods Pro. They work well with everything but podcasts. The podcasts start and stop every 30 seconds (on for 30/off for 3). Sometime the podcast won't even start. They work with second generation AirPods and wired headphones. Streaming and the phone itself work fine.

Anyone else have this issue?

AirPods know nothing of the audio source, so the "podcast" part is probably nothing but coincidence.

I have this issue as well, though with a different set of bluetooth headphones. Which podcast app do you use?

I listen to podcasts daily and haven’t had any problems with the AirPods Pro.
