It’s been quite a few years since I last tried in-ear earbuds. I remember not being a big fan, as I often use my earbuds while out walking, and the constant «thump» of my feet would ruin the listening experience. I usually listen to music and audiobooks, and I found it hard to listen to. Has the APPs fixed this issue?

It might depend on the actual fit for each individual user.
The tighter the APPs fit onto your ear, the less movement there is to initiate a thump.

just a guess.

I think pressure release or equalizing design of the APP with the vents prevents this from happening.
For my use - walking around mostly I find them good.
