Airpods pro work on iPad but no sound on Mac

My Airpods Pro used to work on my Mac, but today I can't get any sound out of them. They connect regurlarly, and show up in the top bar of the Mac. So far I have tried:

• switch Bluetooth off and on - did not work
• reboot my Mac - did not work
• reset the Airpods Pro - did not work
• check the volume - is OK
• check the sound settings - is OK

I also have a regular pair of Airpods and these work without any problem on my Mac.
The Airpods Pro do work on my iPad and my iPad Pro.

I am using Sequoia 15.5 on a Mac Mini M4 Pro.

Anyone an idea?

Well, I did a reset again and now it is working.
