Other AirPods Question. Ear detection

Ok. When I take my AirPods out my ear and let’s say I play a video or music it’s still playing through my AirPods. Is this how ear detection suppose to not work or am I missing something?

Does it happen with both AirPods?
Maybe try resetting them...

If the way you hold them covers the ‘sensor’ they will keep playing. Try setting them down if you have been holding them.

Ok had them laying in the bed didn’t think about sensors.
