Hi!

Ever since the iOS 18 update my AirPods have not been the same. Before the ring volume would adjust itself depending on if the AirPods are in or not. For e.g I could have max ring volume (mainly for alarms) and when I used my AirPods the volume would have decreased to not blow my ears out.

After the update this is not the case anymore. Every time someone calls now it’s on max volume and blows my ears out. Yes I can manually set the volume, but then I have to remember to adjust it all the time.

What has happened? I understand now why Apple developed all the hearing aid stuff :smh:

Check in Settings > Sounds & vibration > Earphone security. Perhaps it got triggered off during the installation?

Sorry for the late reply. I tried this but it didn’t help. This is driving me mad. Can’t understand why they’ve done this!!!
