Airpods update?

Hey guys i'm thinking of getting Airpods but i am wondering if there might be an updated version coming out soon.. What do you think? Advise?

All there is coming is an updated case with wireless charging. No imminent change to the airpods themselves. But who really knows.

They were announced September 2016. It is believed that there won’t be an update until 2019 or later due to high demand and the wireless charging case being released as an optional accessory.

They were announced September 2016, but they didn't launch until December 2016 due to an unknown delay. So they have been available just over a year, which I don't believe we will see version two until 2019.

Which might be indicative of a spring keynote. But given last year, they did not have a spring Keynote, just a silent update. And then the launch of the iPad Pro's during WWDC.
