Airpods vs Beats Solo 3

They are still at 84% now. What's crazy is that sometimes the battery is higher the next day than it was the day before.

Yeah, it's great. I didn't have an issue with the 2's 12 hour battery life, but the 40hr on the 3's is insane. I lose about 2% per hour and I listen at a somewhat loud volume.
 
I ordered a pair of AirPods to try them out, and they were really neat. The size and fit were great, but for me they didn't deliver when it came to sound, especially when in a noisy environment. I returned them and bought the Solo 3s. I've never bought a pair of Beats headphones before and honestly I have mocked them in the past. Well, I was wrong... these are some fantastic cans! Headphones are a pretty personal choice but I'm much happier with the Solo 3's than the AirPods.

They really upped their game with the 2's as far as sound quality. The 3's use the same drivers and that paired with the insane battery life is why I sprung for them.
 
I'm happy with the Solos. My favorite headphone maker is supposed to be releasing a wireless version in April (PSB) so depending on details I may sell my Solos and my wired PSBs to get their wireless ones

I hear you, I have yet to receive my Airpods (order Dec 27 getting Feb 16), I do have the Solo 3's however. I bought the Solo 3's on a Black Friday deal where they were $249, that in my opinion was a good deal. When I receive the Airpods, I will judge whether I will keep them or not, assuming they are as good as everyone says, I will likely keep both.
