Are the Airpods with H1 for $109 from Amazon worth it. Trying to dip my toes in without spending a ton of money. Also, is it a wise idea to spend the $29 to get 2 yr applecare+?

Anyone out there happy with their Airpods H1 (2nd gen) and feel it is essential to get applecare+?

99 from Best Buy right now, also.

I wouldn't get applecare, and I generally do like applecare.

I am still using the First Gen Airpods and would be thrilled to have paid $109 or $99 for them. It's a good price. No AppleCare here either. Looks like you have to do a pickup for $99 Best Buy deal.

They’re worth it. You won’t find a better user experience in earbuds than AirPods with your iPhone and iPad. As far as AC+, I wouldn’t bother at this price point. I’ve had gen 1 & 2 and had no problems other than the predictable battery deterioration. However, I got them, my gen 1’s, replaced by my credit card company’s extended warranty on electronics when the batteries finally stopped lasting less than an hour.

There was apparently a flash sale lasting 2 hours for the $99 deal yesterday. They went to $119 after that. Looks like they're now at $129 at Best Buy. Amazon's price is $139. What a difference a couple of hours makes.

Yeah, I ordered from Amazon for $109. The cost in gas to drive to Best Buy would be about $5 so the savings would be $5. Should have gone with Navy Exchange :/

Well on the bright side, if you’re dissatisfied with the AirPods, Amazon makes returns easy. If you have prime, that is.

I do have prime, so I get 5% back with my prime credit card plus a tiny portion goes to my nonprofit :)

I am extremely happy with the H1 Airpods. We have paired it with 3 devices across 2 different Apple accounts and will add a third account/4th device. They connect perfectly. They sound simply amazing. They just work. For some oddball reason they fit in my small ears like a glove. Thank you for your comment. Or, should I say, I blame you for my purchase ;) I was told by my son’s dad “welcome to the 21st century.” I was also told by my son’s Android loving dad that they sound great when I use them in a phone call. Now I know why everyone is walking around with Airpods stuck in their ears. ❤️❤️❤️
