If you just turn it off, it comes back on upon rebooting?

Turn it off either in the status bar, or via System Preferences-->Network

lol, I know how to turn it off, what I meant is how could you get it to stop automatically start scanning when it has rebooted.

It isn't super important to know, but I was more curious if anything.

If its on its going to scan. Turn it off if you don't want it to scan.

Or, maybe there's no workaround for it and the only way to stop it from scanning is to turn it off, in which case they DID answer your question.

    Hmm?
