airport connectivity

Hi, I have this laptop for a while and always had this issue, but now getting inquisitive about it. would appreciate any ideas 🙂

my airport connection seems to be always lower bars then any other computers around me. is there a way to fix it or improve it?

same two macs, same distance from the router, I have less reception.
