airport connects on 5th go

My 1260 MacBookPro seems to be having some trouble connecting to my wireless internet connection. Only after four times of invalid password message, it manages to connect! Its strange because it is close to the router, so there is no way it might be out of range and there are no possible obstacles in the way! Leopard is installed... what might be the issue here?

Try changing the Channel on your router or set it to Auto.

2. I do have a PowerBook that works fine though!

Could this be a Leopard issue?
Could it be an Aiport failure?
